Est. June 2021 · 18 recorded conversations
Eighteen conversations took place here.
This is the record of them.
The Soma Community archive preserves the information meetings held about psilocybin mushrooms — a series of open conversations, questions, and shared learning, kept here for anyone who wants to explore what was actually said.
Why these meetings were kept
Between June 2021 and late 2022, The Soma Community held a monthly information meeting to answer the public's questions about Soma directly and openly. It was an open, recorded conversation among people with direct experience of Soma group retreats and at-home journeys with psilocybin mushrooms, most often led by Monica Cromhout. All eighteen of these meetings are part of this archive today, each with a real date, its confirmed panellists, and a summary of key ideas and questions with timestamps drawn from the community's own records. Access to the full audio recording is included. Full word-for-word transcripts are still being processed and will be added meeting by meeting as they become available. This site exists to make that single body of conversations easy to explore — meeting by meeting, or by the themes that run across all of them. An experiment, and also a capture of Soma events and information at that point in time.

Your guide to the Soma Community archive
Simon reads only what's in this archive — the meeting transcripts, summaries and supporting material The Soma Community has approved. Ask something and Simon will search the meetings, show you what was actually discussed, and tell you plainly when the answer isn't there.
Simon doesn't use the wider internet, general knowledge, or guesswork — and he never presents a personal reflection shared in a meeting as medical fact.

Q — What did the meetings say about journeying alone at home?
This came up in more than one meeting. In Meeting #2 (30 June 2021), the panel discussed what happens when you journey by yourself and what's really behind the concern of being alone. Meeting #1 (2 June 2021) compares the online experience with the physical one directly.

These themes are drawn from a first review of the meetings already in the archive — not invented ahead of time. As more transcripts are added, this list will grow and reshape to reflect what's actually discussed.
A record, not a recommendation
"There is no shamanism involved. We are neither your 'guide' during your experience nor your therapist. We believe that your Soma experience is deeply personal."
